Convince us to read the book: At first I was led to believe that many of the people Tegan knew were stuck up rich kids. Later you learn that Tegan isn't as much of a tough girl as you think and that she really cares about all the people around her.
Memorable or Forgettable:  I had heard of cryonics and it had always interested me. I had wondered what it would be like to die and come alive again.
Cover: Yes for 2 reasons: the girl on the cover has frost on her face which connects with the book and it looked interesting because the girl looked a little strange.
Age Range: 12 through 13
Quality: 4Q Better than most
Popularity: 3P Some teen appeal
Additional Comments: I have never read a book even similar to this book which is one of the good qualities.
Annotation: When We Wake is about a girl named Tegan who is frozen because of a science experiment after she is shot. When she wakes up, 100 years have passed. She is trying get used to a whole new life and to being called the living dead girl.
